In Edgewater, New Rendering Released Of 60-Story Tower

In Edgewater, Apartment developer Aimco has released another rendering on their website of a 60-story tower they plan.

In December, representatives of the developer told that the tower would have 241 apartments.

Aimco plans to build a 15,000 square foot public pedestrian plaza directly on the waterfront with open spaces on both sides. A restaurant will be located in front of the plaza.

To create the plaza, the developer intends to close the end of Northeast 34th Street.

The street closure can be done administratively, the developer said, since it is being designed “to deliver on the City’s land use goals and objectives.”

The development will include an amphitheater, linear park, and kayak launch. There will also be a baywalk open to the public.

According to a filing with the Federal Aviation Administration, the tower will top off at 646 feet above ground, and 649 feet above sea level, which would make it the northernmost 600-foot tower within City of Miami limits.
